The R314 features an ash body bolted to a maple neck with a 22-fret rosewood fretboard with dot position markers. Components include Ibanez pickups mounted in a white pickguard with a humbucker at the bridge and single-coils at the neck and middle positions and a synchronized tremolo bridge. It is one the Radius models with a more traditional, Stratocaster-like, approach. The R334 and R354GF are more deluxe versions of a similar concept. The R314 was offered only in Japan and was discontinued in 1993 after two years in production.
