- Alexi "Wildchild" Laiho (born Markku Uula Aleksi Laiho; April 8, 1979) is a Finnish singer, composer and guitarist. He is best known for being the lead guitarist as well as lead vocalist for heavy metal band Children of Bodom, and he is also the guitarist for Sinergy and Kylähullut. He has also previously played with Thy Serpent and Impaled Nazarene on occasion, as well as Warmen. Guitar World magazine has ranked him among the top 50 fastest guitar players in the world.
- Dislexi (later interpreted as "Alexi") "Nobody-knows-whose-child" Laiho is the lead guitarist ("git-arsist" as Dislexi spells it, because, after all, he is Dislexi...) of the bands Children of Bottom, Fück-a-löt and Shitergy, or at least he thinks so. He has also performed the same duty for Tit-Serf Ant (they thought they call themselves "Thy Serpent", but they were wrong, because they were all Dislexi. In fact, Dislexi's mother was Dislexi because she named Dislexi Dislexi instead of Alexi...) and Overboiled Assarene on occasion in addition to Gaymen, or at least they think so.

Ils sont depuis séparés et les rumeurs les plus folles courent sur les raisons de leurs dissentions. Interrogé sur le sujet, Alexi n'a été capable de fournir qu'une vague explication "aheem hum, this fucking shit was not doing right, y'know, was going to fucking nowhere, y'know" dont nous ne pouvons évidemment nous contenter. Certains prétendent qu'elle l'étouffait chaque soir et qu'il se réveillait en état d'asphyxie complète, d'autres pensent qu'elle engloutissait pas moins de 50 kilos de hareng chaque jour au petit déjeuner et que les ventes de leurs groupes respectifs ne permettaient pas de couvrir la dépense. Mais la rumeur la plus forte concerne l'orientation sexuelle d'Alexi qui aurait "viré de bord" suite à son aventure malencontreuse avec Kimberly. Les preuves de ce changement ne sont pas évidentes, mais il suffit pour s'en convaincre de regarder sa tenue de village people dans la vidéo "Trashed, Lost in Helsinki" ou la couleur de sa nouvelle signature chez ESP. Il paraîtrait même que leur dernier album a failli s'appeler "Children of Sodom - Are You Gay Yet ?", mais personne n'a été capable de confirmer ces dires. Ce changement d'orientation sexuelle a eu des effets désastreux sur sa discographie, le groupe passant d'influences black metal du meilleur effet à des influences vaguement metalcoreuses afin de rallier à sa cause les femmelettes pseudo-métalliques fanes de Trivium et de Marilyn Manson. A la suite de quoi son talent se trouve renié par l'ancienne frange amatrice de metal extrême de son public. L'apparition de slams à répétition aux concerts de Children of Bodom en est la preuve formelle.
