Haldrat's early life consisted mostly of reading magical texts as his father was was a delver into the world of the demons. He has one sister that he knows about and one sister that he knows nothing about, Valeiria and Kaera Vhaerun. Having grown up in the captial city of Silvermoon, he enjoyed watching the paladins on thier warsteeds as they patroled the city, befriending many of the paladins that he idolized. When the second war broke out, Malevia was called into service which left Haldrat to care for his sister Valeiria. One day the war had finally hit home as Haldrat learned that his father had been slain in combat by the undead because his magical shields had failed. Thought it was unknown at the time but the one that delievered the message was his estranged sister Kaera, who had been with thier father in the battle. Life got difficult for Haldrat and Valeiria now without any parents to provide for them. Desperate to save them from a fate in a orphanage, Haldrat convinced Valeiria to become a child of the city with him and learn under the expertise of the blood knights. While it was not ideal and it was a harsh life learning to defend and become a paladin, it was a place to call home. The master paladins agreed and began to train Valeiria and Haldrat. Life as they had known it had ended and a new life had begun. Haldrat rarely saw his sister during training but he was ok with that knowing that she could take care of herself. After his training came to an end he was assinged to a squad of knights that preformed search and recovery missions. As Haldrat approached 277 years of age the third war broke out. Since the war wasn't threating Silvermoon, they stayed out of it. When the blood elves learned that Arthas was leading a vast scourge army towards the sunwell they where greeted by the Ranger-General Sylvanias Windrunner. The unit Haldrat was a part of was picked to be a part of the inital stopping force that was supposed to halt the scourge advance just outside Tranquilien. The battle with the scourge quickly became a route as there was no stopping the overwhelming undead advance. Haldrat's unit decided to make a last stand in order to buy time for the other members of the advance force to retreat. Haldrat as well as the remaining 40 knights in that unit where all killed.
