  • Once a month, the Bruise Brothers get into a fight about something. Invariably, their mother is there to reprimand them, dragging them away from the carnage they have caused by pulling their ears and yelling at them. Her husband is often away from home, explaining why she is forced to step in. On one occasion, Sonic the Hedgehog witness a brawl and was alarmed to see the little old lady in the middle of it, barely avoiding boulders thrown by the brothers. Sonic stepped in and dragged Mrs Bruise from the scene, but his reward was a solid whack over the head with her walking stick. She then rolled up her sleeves and returned to her sons, again grabbing their ears. Mrs Bruise then ordered one son to drop the bus he was carrying and warned them that their father would punish them later.
