abstract
| - The United States presidential election of 2024 was the 60th quadrennial Presidential Election. It saw moderately popular Scott Walker win the nomination (unopposed) and become the President of the United States. Popular Democratic front runner Martin O'Malley came second with a small margin of less then 1 million votes. Controversy about the voting system in the US (AV) arose. This was because Martin O'Malley got more states than Scott Walker and also because of the matter of votes. This led to the new 'A' system of voting which means that the election is solely based on the 'Popular vote'. Electoral vote and states carried were scrapped, the nominee system was scrapped meaning that now they have a 'Leader' of the party. During this presidential term, the Democrats and Republicans both reformed as the Conservative and Liberal party, whereas the Tea Party took the place of more extreme conservatives in the Republicans. The Senate term length was dropped and this meant Marco Rubio (the immensely popular POTUS) took the nomination for the Conservative and Liberal party.
