Ronnie Briggs, full name William Ronald Briggs, was a goalkeeper who played for Rovers between 1965 and 1968, making 35 league appearances for the club in that time. He was capped twice by Northern Ireland, against Wales on 11 April 1962 in a home international that finished 4-0 to the Welsh, and The Netherlands in a World Cup qualifier on 17 March 1965 which the Irish side won 2-1.
