About: Wraith stunner rifle   Sponge Permalink

An Entity of Type : dbkwik:resource/t9ln_EbmcSHrBZziiWPG4g==, within Data Space : 134.155.108.49:8890 associated with source dataset(s)

The stunner rifle fires an energy pulse which overloads the sensory and motor nervous systems, impeding the firing of neurons that enable movement and perception, thus resulting in temporary paralysis. The residual effects are described as a feeling similar to pins and needles throughout the body. This allows the Wraith to easily capture or feed upon their targets. Though primarily a stunning weapon, they possess a large bayonet on the rear of the weapon if it becomes necessary to kill a target.

  • The stunner rifle fires an energy pulse which overloads the sensory and motor nervous systems, impeding the firing of neurons that enable movement and perception, thus resulting in temporary paralysis. The residual effects are described as a feeling similar to pins and needles throughout the body. This allows the Wraith to easily capture or feed upon their targets. Though primarily a stunning weapon, they possess a large bayonet on the rear of the weapon if it becomes necessary to kill a target. Wraith and humans alike are affected by the weapon, though Wraith are somewhat more resistant, usually requiring two shots to disable when one will suffice for virtually any human. Humans under the influence of the Wraith enzyme are highly resistant to the stunner, able to shrug off several shots with no visible strain. Similarly, John Sheppard, while under the influence of the Iratus bug retrovirus, was able to resist several hits without slowing down.
