* Good point. I was also debating the "Scenery" category last night. I had a number of categories drafted up, including "Weapon" and "Scenery," but had originally nixed them both due to the amount of entries this contest will receive. I suspect that the vast majority will be character artwork. If we do get a number of entries or interest in other categories, such as weapons and scenery, then I'll re-add them. * While this has a downside, what about a "catch-all" category for those that don't fit into the others? Weapons, scenery, planets, etc. Of course, it is harder to judge images on merit if there are a myriad of differences, but it can be done. I do suggest that if you are looking to expand scenery, to maybe include planet, star, system, etc. that is not map-based to it. A view of space that includes a planet and its moon is just as much "scenery." Just a couple of thoughts. — Fiolli {Alpheridies University ComNet} 04:09, September 18, 2010 (UTC)
* The "Scenery" category was going to include planets, systems, buildings, etc. I just termed it "scenery" in my notebook as it seemed like the best thing to label that broad of a category as. Though, a "Misc" category would work. Judging it could be done on a tiered system, like scenery with other scenery, weapons with other weapons, winners of those batches judged against each other, but seeing as much like the other contests we have, such judging would be done by what got the most votes, than a system like that would be rather unnecessary and complicated. * I added a "Misc" category with a general description of what can be nominated, and a note that if a large enough number of a certain type of image is nominated, then that group will be split off into its own category.
