Aren't easy analyses late in a contest beautiful? We all knew Aeris would lose, and it was only a question of comparing Snake's win to how well he would potentially do against Crono. Aeris may have only scored 43.46% on Snake, but Crono was clearly in a whole different league than Aeris. Crono may not have necessarily been strong enough to take Snake down, but it was clear that he would be able to come far closer than Aeris. Crono was going to score at least 43.46% on Snake, likely a lot more, and whether or not Snake was up to the challenge of someone finally being able to punch him in the mouth remained to be seen.

Hats off to Aeris, though. She made it this far as an 11 seed, and she was clearly the lowest-seeded character left in the contest before this match. After her loss, the lowest-seeded character left in the contest was Sephiroth. Yeah, Sephiroth. I understand that Kirby and Starcraft are the two big examples of underseeding, but Sephiroth as a 7 was equally idiotic if you ask me. • Previous Match • Next Match
