He had initially appeared as a recurring guest star in the tenth and eleventh seasons and was promoted to series regular from the twelfth season onwards. He voices the character Steve Smith in the animated series American Dad! He played Will McCorkle in the Fox series Party of Five and Donald Malarkey in the HBO miniseries Band of Brothers. He has appeared in the films Crimson Tide (1995), Mystery, Alaska (1999) and Robin Hood (2010).

  • Scott Richard Grimes (born July 9, 1971) is an American actor, voice artist and singer-songwriter. Some of his most prominent roles are his appearances in ER as Dr. Archie Morris, Party of Five as Will McCorkle, Band of Brothers as Technical Sergeant Donald Malarkey, and the popular animated sitcom American Dad!, voicing Steve Smith. He is also well known by cult fans for his role as Bradley Brown in the first two Critters films. As a singer, he is best known for co-writing and performing the soft rock single "Sunset Blvd", which spent several weeks on the Billboard charts.

He later appeared in the NCIS spin-off series, "NCIS: Los Angeles" in the Season 4 episodes, "Red Part 1" and "Red Part 2" which were intended to be a spin-off titled "NCIS: Red". Unfortunately, the spin-off itself was not given a full series by CBS, making NCIS: Red the first backdoor pilot episode in the entire NCIS franchise not to have received a full series of episodes.
