Bob was raised in Leeds, Yorkshire. Left school at fifteen, joined the army at eighteen for six years, then the merchant navy for three years. Emigrated to Australia in 1970. He is married to Susan Wood, and has four grown-up sons. Other than appearing in numerous short-films over the last seven years, he attended the Screen Actors Studio. Bob is happy to be confronted by a good beer and a good meal, and retired disgracefully in 2005. Bob now acts part time. He has appeared in Troll Bridge, First Pulse, Ned Kelly (2003 film) and Ganglands.
