Vincent Malloy is seven years old, who pretends to be Vincent Price (who narrates the film) and does experiments on his dog abarombie. He likes to paint pictures and is obsessed with Edgar Allan Poe. While reading a "gruesome tale" he believes his wife to be dead. His mother comes to his room and tries to convince him that he's not Vincent Price. His mother walks out of the room and is tortured by ghosts and tries to escape from the door. The film ends with Vincent presumably deceased and quotes the Raven by Edgar Allan Poe.
