  • During the Great Galactic War after the Sacking of Coruscant, two Imperial commandos ambushed Jedi Satele Shan on a transport ship but were slain in the process. Their deaths were constituted as a violation of the peace treaty between the Sith Empire and the Galactic Republic according to the droid SP-99. Imperial commandos were trained and used by Imperial Intelligence in many operations to undermine Republic Strategic Information Service and assassinate high priority targets. Notable Imperial Commandos include Cormun, Kalmic and the Shadow Captain. Imperial commandos wore a heavily armored uniform with a helmet very different to that of a standard Imperial soldier. Most Imperial Commandos wore light grey armor however members of the Korriban regiment wore red armor. This is probably an attempt to make the soldiers armor more camouflage as the landscape in Korriban is made up of red-colored sand.
