| - by user Layla Crossposted from The HILL Chronicles Two people were arrested Saturday when marchers supporting two jailed Border Patrol agents clashed with counter-protesters for immigrant rights on Hollywood Boulevard. The two groups had to be separated by police, which totaled several hundred people, after members of both sides began shouting expletives and shoving. The march was organized by several anti-illegal immigration groups, including The Minutemen Project and Save Our State, to encourage President Bush to pardon two agents convicted of shooting an unarmed man who fled after being caught smuggling 743 pounds of marijuana into the U.S. Agents Ignacio Ramos and Jose Alonso Compean were sentenced last year to 11 and 12 years, respectively, for assault with a deadly weapon and violating the smuggler’s civil rights. Counter-protesters from the pro-immigrant group ANSWER accused the marchers of being racist and anti-immigrant. Ironically this is so typical of the "illegal" looking for sympathy from the people pleaser left - socially correct crowd. Unfortunately for them, the left in this country is not a majority. And thank goodness for that. No one should be allowed rights in the United States when they have entered our country illegally. There should be no amnesty and no bending of laws. You could imagine were you in lets say Mexico, you would be fined, jailed, then deported. And by the way if you could not pay the fine - you would stay in jail indefinitely. Many times our own State Department had to become involved to resolve situations such as this — teenagers out for a night of fun crossing the border illegally. Either way you cut it - it is wrong for us to do it as much as it is wrong for illegals to do it. Illegals have no right to claim anything - let alone call us racist or bigots. We owe them nothing but a one way bus ticket the hell out of our country, which is a nation that abides by its laws - not a nation of criminals and free loaders. __NOEDITSECTION__ From The Opinion Wiki, a Wikia wiki.
