  • The Loremaster is a very unique unit of Imladris that can specialize in a single school of magic. Loremasters from different magic classes can combine once the proper research has been completed at the Library to produce powerful combined attacks and abilities. Once a Loremaster has chosen a school of magic to specialize in, he will be able to attack enemy units with his chosen elemental magic. He has one passive ability and one ability that requires activation, but the latter needs the Basic Mystical Studies research from the Library to be able to use it. The schools of magic that the Loremaster can specialize in are as follows: * Loremaster of Stone (gains green robe) * Loremaster of the Winds (gains light blue/grey robe) * Loremaster of the Seas (gains dark blue robe) * Loremaster of Light (gains yellow robe)

Dedicated to the pursuit and preservation of knowledge, they are greatly respected and Dwarven leaders value them highly for their advice and wisdom. It is the dream of almost every Dwarven Academic to attain the rank of Loremaster. Every Dwarven settlement of any size will have at least one Loremaster, although - confusingly to other races - the title Loremaster is often conferred on the most able scholar of a Dwarven community regardless of whether or not he is actually a Loremaster. They perform a vital task within the community, being responsible for maintaining chronicles and traditions and using their profound knowledge to advise community leaders. Not all Loremasters shut themselves away with their books, however. The larger Dwarven communities, in particular, are able to spare some of their Loremasters from day-to-day duties and these individuals are able to pursue their own researches, often travelling far and wide in search of lost chronicles and forgotten Dwarfholds, trying to recover the records and knowledge lost during the carnage of the Elf and Goblin wars. Although few Loremasters are skilled in combat, many are powerful spellcasters and they can call on a wide range of other abilities. The Loremaster career can only be entered by Dwarves who have completed at least two of the following careers: Artisan, Scholar, Alchemist (level 4), Cleric (level 4), and Wizard (level 4). * Arcane Language: Arcane Dwarfish * Arcane Language: Magick * Art * Astronomy * Chemistry * Cryptography * Daemon Lore * Engineering * Evaluate * Heraldry * Herb Lore * History * Identify Magical Artifact * Identify Undead * Law * Linguistics * Magical Awareness * Magical Sense * Mining * Numismatics * Orientation (underground only) * Palmistry * Rune Lore * Scroll Lore * Speak Additional Language: player's choice * Spot Trap * Super Numerate * Theology There are no specific trappings associated with the Loremaster career. A Dwarf Loremaster may retain the trappings of previous careers. Dwarf Loremasters are held immense respect by others of their race. A Loremaster gains a +20 bonus to Ld and Fel when dealing with Dwarfs. * Artisan * Cleric * Runesmith's Apprentice * Scholar * Wizard - level 1
