Is that really the kind of person you want to be? Go ahead and move irrelevant material to the talk page, but silently deleting useful comments with no explanation is the mark of the kind of twisted, parasitic soul that we all hope grad school doesn't make us into. Let's hope it's not too late for you, and try some self-examination to see if this really makes you feel good about yourself and the kind of person you are. The Wiki Bandit is back again. 4/23 What does Wiki Bandit mean????? * Could those people who are lucky enough to be accepting new jobs please NOT erase all the previous information when the job is accepted? Next year, when people are freaking out about why a search is taking so long, it would be very helpful to review the glacial speed at which many searches are conducted as well as information learned during this year's searches. PLEASE be considerate and DO NOT post info here about a first choice candidate rejecting an offer. Anyone who makes it to the campus interview stage, frankly even to CAA interviews, is talented and qualified. Many people who will end up with the jobs listed here may not have been the first choice of search committees. But it's not helpful for them to know that and it kind of undermines the whole search process. Please don't spoil the joy and relief of a candidate who gets a job offer by revealing here that they were not the school's first choice. They may figure that out on their own but this is NOT the place to publicize that information. * Please do NOT erase information even when the job is filled. It is a useful record of timetables and such.
