Dorling Kindersley is a publishing group that released the 24 book 24: The Ultimate Guide. The company was founded in 1974 by Christopher Dorling and Peter Kindersley, initially as a book-packaging company and later, in 1982, moving into publishing. In 1999 it was taken over and made part of Penguin Random House, after overestimating the market for Star Wars books. It has published numerous books including many tie-in media merchandise volumes.
