Echepa'runam (better known by her Basicized name Eche Parunam) was a Twi'lek smuggler who left her life as a Jedi after years of service. Born on Ryloth 124 years after the Battle of Yavin, she was soon discovered by a Jedi Master and his student who had been on a mission in the area. After a short talk with her parents, who were already struggling to feed the two children they had, saw an opportunity to give the child a life they could not otherwise provide. Eche was given to the Jedi, who took the tiny blue Twi`lek back to Coruscant for training.

Born on Ryloth 124 years after the Battle of Yavin, she was soon discovered by a Jedi Master and his student who had been on a mission in the area. After a short talk with her parents, who were already struggling to feed the two children they had, saw an opportunity to give the child a life they could not otherwise provide. Eche was given to the Jedi, who took the tiny blue Twi`lek back to Coruscant for training. She proved to be a smart child and a fast learner, and was soon taken in by an older Twi`lek Jedi. The man taught her about the Force and combat, as well as the language and culture of their people. He became a father figure to her, and the two were often sent on missions that required team work and a connection in the Force that was very rare. In 142 ABY, with the Jedi and One Sith still in a constant tug and pull conflict after Darth Krayt's death, Eche and her master found themselves in a situation the two of them simply could not handle. While on a mission in the Outer Rim, the two of them found themselves face to face with Darth Talon, the former Hand of Krayt. She slaughtered Eche's master, and left the young woman to return to the Jedi as a message: the One Sith was still around. Upon her return, the council deemed her fit to take on the trials and become a Knight on her own. Without her master, however, the life of a Jedi seemed a little less worth the sacrifice it required. Five years later, she left the Jedi to start her own life that would have made many of the Jedi pull their hair out. The Twi`lek took on a life much less legitimate, smuggling various things for people who needed them.
