Carnet House is a 15 storey tower block on Upper Newtownards Road in the Ardcarn Estate, Belfast, Northern Ireland. Completed in 1966 using Laing's Sectra method, it is 45 metres tall and has 72 flats. Across the road from this tower is the sprawling Stormont Estate (the centre of local government & civil service) and Ulster hospital, and Carnet House's flats were made of a very high quality with the intention that they would be let out to civil servants and nurses. The bulk of the Ardcarn Estate was built in the early 1950's by the Northern Ireland Housing Trust, with this addition (also by the NIHT) being the only high rise building in the development.
