Core-diving is a 'sport' exercised by LEP officers, generally Recon and Retrieval officers. It is prohibited by the LEP. Retrieval Officer Bom Arbles died after he fell into the core during an attempt at Core-diving. He is the only known fatality contributed to core-diving. Holly Short holds the record for the closest to the centre of the Earth reached, being 500 metres. This earned her 2 weeks suspension.
