In 2368, the Singularity One project completed flight simulations at the Starfleet Headquarters Complex in San Francisco, and commenced field testing aboard the USS Amazon. Unfortunately, the project suffered a major setback when unanticipated time-space distortions were encountered at the event horizon which nearly tore the ship apart.
