Hector was slain by Akhilles and Achilles attached him to a chariot and was dragged around the walls of Troy three times. His corpse was also dragged around Patroklos's grave several times. His body would've been unrecognizable, but Aphrodite had used a special potion to restore it to its former beauty.

  • Hektor is a playable character in Warriors: Legends of Troy. The son of the Trojan king and Paris's older brother, he is the commander of the Trojan army. Humble, honest, yet also possessing spectacular bravery, he earns the admiration of ally and foe alike.

Cortez himself is believed to have perished in a horrific and largely undocumented catastrophe during The Fall, the details of which "someone knows, but isn't sharing" according to one of his former colleagues. Sent to repair a space station before the Fall, communications abruptly ceased as the station was declared MIA, the entire repair crew reported missing and their rescue abandoned due to the immediate arrival of The Fall. Leaving behind a great deal of technical notes and schematics involving a multitude of ideas that his living friends could not make sense of, his files were simply archived and forgotten. Forgotten, that is, until the advent of the Fall. With transhumanity plagued by the threat of the TITANs and its own brand of civil conflict, the search for answers intensified. One of Cortez's few surviving colleagues had his files re-opened and conducted an obsessive study of them. Although merely stumped anew on most counts, Professor Jacob Stone managed to decipher enough of Cortez's forgotten work to piece together a prototype for a more advanced Synthmorph, utilizing new metalworking techniques for a much stronger droid. In addition to the prototype design, Stone also came up with the idea of recreating his fallen friend and leaving it to a cyberbrain to piece together the exact meaning and utility of the files. The result of this was Hektor, designed from the ground up to be as close a copy to the original Hector Cortez as possible. Realizing that his plan would require a fully intelligent AGI to even dream of successfully analyzing his friend's work, Stone assembled his own team and set about the task of constructing this synthetic doppleganger. Stone's pragmatic realism extended to the realization that such an AGI would need time to process the hidden data stored within its synthetic cortex, in addition to needing experience with handling such subjects. For the past 5 years, though slowly at first, Hektor has been afforded greater and greater amounts of independence and freedom. In the past 2 years, he has been rewired to be fully independent, even to the point of emulating a "regular" transhuman citizen. Arguably these past two years have been the only time in which Hektor was given fully AGI-level intelligence, having been upgraded over time. Although cognizant of being an AGI, he has nonetheless been carefully (but imperfectly) programmed to fully embody Hector Cortez's persona, albeit from a composite of his friends' memories of the man. These memories were not all clearly encoded however, and it remains to be seen how Hektor will handle his true identity's revelation, not to mention the possible ultimate fate of his "template". For now, Hektor fully believes he is merely a brilliant mechanic and technician who aims to be the best at what he does. Fitted with the latest and greatest in hazard gear and engineering equipment, he is trusted by the same Argonauts that created him with the most dangerous and difficult work. Currently, his task is to assist Firewall with certain technological concerns.
