He started his rap activities in 1995. With his cousin Vektor he started a group called Przystanek 75, later renamed to Emcedwa (in Polish “two MC’s”). After Vektor’s departure Owal started his solo career as Owal/Emcedwa. Till the year 2002 he published two illegal albums and gave a lot of concerts. On December 2, 2002 he published his first legal album called Epizod II: Rapnastyk, that is considered a classic of Polish rap till today.
