  • Rubobostes was a king of Dacia and lived in Transylvania during 2nd Century BC. It was said that during Rubobostes' rule, the Dacian power increased since they defeated the Celts which once held the greatest power in the region. Two people had mentioned that there was a rise in Dacian authority under leadership of Rubobostes before 168 BC which could of meant the end of Celtic Dominance in Transylvania and possibly thrown out of Dacia by the growing power of Rubobostes. Then other theories suspect that the Celts remained in Transylvania but decided to merge more into the culture. They also say that both of these reasons could be responsible for the disappearance of the La Tène in Romania.
