The Illini Republic is the name of a brigand group that inhabits the ruins of the University of Illinois at Urbana–Champaign. They fought for many years with the Chinks of Eureka for control over I-74 in central Illinois. From 1995 to 2003, they fought constantly with the Chinks of Eureka. In 2003, following the movement of the Quad Cities Alliance toward Eureka, and facing their own problems to the south with Vandalia and Kentucky, Illini sent an emissary to Eureka, asking for an alliance. The mission was successful, in no large part due to internal strife in Eureka.

| - The Illini Republic is the name of a brigand group that inhabits the ruins of the University of Illinois at Urbana–Champaign. Since then, the alliance between the two groups has kept central Illinois under their control. In that time frame, they have managed to keep expeditions from both the Quad Cities and Kentucky out of the area, inflicting heavy losses on those missions. As a result, both have put immense restrictions on travel in and around the area. So long as no alliances in the region align against them, this situation is likely to remain for the foreseeable future.
