Nash's other two races came in 1954, when he started the year off at the infamous Daytona Beach. Nash struggled in the large field to find his way on the road course, finishing 46th among sixty-two finishers. He was able to improve in his final race, but his 28th place showing back at Atlanta was bluntly mediocre among the thirty-four entries.
