Wei studied Sociology at Blackburn University of Newhaven, and graduated in 2007. The very next year, he began work on The Spear of the Dragon, which drew inspiration from Chinese mythology and folklore. The series received the Award for Best Artwork at the first Comicmania International Festival. Wei released the final comic book of the series in 2011 and he soon moved to Plains, commenting "it's a quiet place for me to work." Wei is engaged to Vanessa Hunter, a local doctor, and they plan to marry soon. He is currently working on his next comic series.
