- A Heroes of Might and Magic V (gyakran HOMM 5 vagy Heroes 5), a sorozat legújabb darabja, mely először 2006. május 16-án jelent meg Oroszországban és az Egyesült Királyságban. A játék design-ját teljesen lecserélték 3D-re, azonban visszatértek a harmadik rész játékmenetéhez. A főbb játékelemek a következők: városfejlesztés, hősök és lények felfogadása és fejlesztése, nyersanyaggyűjtés, mágia. A játékelemekről a későbbiekben részletesen szó lesz.

Pewnego dnia następuje atak demonów, przez co zmuszony on jest do wyruszenia z kraju i odparcia ataku. Izabela, niedoszła z powodu wojny narzeczona Nikolaia, zaniepokojona jego długą nieobecnością wyrusza mu na pomoc.
- Heroes of Might and Magic V (sometimes referred to as Heroes V or HoMM5) is the fifth installment of the Heroes of Might and Magic turn-based strategy video game series. It was developed by Nival Interactive, under the guidance of franchise-owner Ubisoft. It was released in Europe on May 16, 2006 and the United States and Canada on May 24, 2006.

Ritrovandosi in bancarotta, gli sviluppatori decisero di retrocedere verso l'idea di preservare il proprio essere solo nelle opere donate all'umanità, e in quelle che l'umanità poteva ancora ricevere (in parte) per merito loro. Per questo invece di lasciar sprofondare i diritti d'autore nell'oblio li passarono di nascosto a Cremlino, coscienti di aver fatto la cosa giusta. A differenza dei precedenti, HOMM5 è stato adattato dai sovietici per essere al passo con le esigenze dei giocatori più giovani, trasformando una serie di fotogrammi bidimensionali in un minestrone 3D. Paradossalmente, nonostante la presenza di tanti bellissimi colori lucenti e allegre farfalline, gli sviluppatori hanno trovato anche il tempo di partorire un insieme di parole dal senso compiuto che secondo loro, assomigliano a una trama.
