The 1952-07 was a Grand National (now Sprint Cup) event held at Lakewood Speedway on April 20, 1952. Gober Sosebee appeared to be on his way to victory, but late spindle issues sidelined him to 9th. Instead, it was Bill Blair leading the final seven laps in route to his only victory of the year, holding off Ed Samples at the line. Eventual season champion Tim Flock led the first 60 laps but fell out with mechanical issues to 15th. Stats
