The Texas Intercollegiate Athletic Association was an NCAA-affiliated Division III college athletic association for schools in Texas from 1976 to 1996. There have been two other athletic associations with the same name which have dissolved. From 1913 to 1917 it was the name for Texas schools that today are Division I teams. They went on to form the Southwest Conference. In the 1920s until 1931 the conference consisted of teams that would become Division II teams. It would become the Lone Star Conference.
