Cello continued in his post after the war's end. Several months after the war's official closure in 19 BBY, Cello was taken captive by a rogue group of Separatists led by angry Trade Federation officials who had survived Darth Sidious's assassination attempts and who had refused the orders to shut down their droid forces. Cello escaped from their detention facility on Kyrro and fled to Coruscant, where he married and lived a long and happy life in peace.
