Balloon Woods was a medium-rise system-built housing estate located in Wollaton Vale, Nottingham. Construction was started in 1966 by Shepherd Construction and was completed in 1970. The flats consisted of fourteen 7 storey blocks and nine 6 storey blocks with 430 and 217 flats respectively. It was emptied in 1983 and demolished in 1984 after defects were found in the concrete.
