Baurusuchidae is a Gondwanan family of mesoeucrocodylians that lived during the Late Cretaceous. It was a clade of terrestrial hypercarnivorous crocodilians, currently known from South America (Argentina and Brazil) and India. Baurusuchidae is defined as the common ancestors of Baurusuchus and Stratiotosuchus and all their descendants.
