Jones tells you to look for hidden gemstones which are all over the Choro-Q HG 2 world. Once you get all 7, you get Stamp 9 and Jones will soon be recruitable. He will give you hints as to where the gemstones are when you first see him. If you haven't found them all yet, you can revisit him and he will repeat hints for the gemstones you still need.

- Jones informed Heller that the scientists had been conducting experiments with the viral samples they had acquired from the first Manhattan outbreak. However, unknown to Heller, he was actually being tested for recruitment into Blackwatch and Jones along with Kaley were only part of the test. When Heller refused to shoot Santos, a man Jones claimed had been infected despite showing no outward symptoms, Jones sedated Heller as he had failed the test. James later awoke with no memory of Jones or the events in the bunker.

The two officers worked together on a number of cases, with the most notable ones being the investigation of the extraction site massacre and the tallying of the dead at P-Sec HQ. He later was trying to inform other officers(Gabe and McNeil too), that body shots don't kill necromorphs and they need to be decapitated first. He was killed during the Necromorph invasion of the colony and was transformed into a Necromorph while Abraham Neumann and Marla Janssen received a call from a distressed miner. He was trapped behind a desk by the duo and was beheaded by Neumann. Since Slashers cannot be killed by decapitation, he most likely survived the fight with Neumann.

- The character is met during the Deadliest Catch quest, in which he asks the player to join him in his attempt to catch Thalassus. For this attempt he needs a Giant harpoon, a Sea chart and 'The Guns' to row the boat. When they find Thalassus, Jones gets swallowed by it. Later, 'The Guns' throws a Karambwan to Thalassus to make him spit Jones out again along with one of the beast's teeth. Back at the shore Jones sends the player to bring the tooth to Linza, after which he completes the quest.

- Jones was a Detective Lieutenant in the Metro-Dade Police Department, Homicide Division, but was also working with Wavey Davey and others, using police files, to extort payments from smugglers currently under investigation by law enforcement, then blowing up their homes (with "family bait"; i.e. wife, child, etc. tied up inside) if they failed, or sometimes if they succeeded. Jones and Wavey Davey arranged to trap Trudy & Tubbs after Tubbs & Crockett went to Cartagena to make a cocaine buy, but Tubbs jumped into the boat after dumping the money bag, then shot & killed Jones when he blew up the trailer Trudy was in, after Crockett & bomb expert Sam got her out.
- Jones was a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent at the time surrounding the the collapse of the agency and the reemergence of HYDRA. He was one of the agents who remained loyal to S.H.I.E.L.D. whom Agent Victoria Hand trusted. He was present at the Hub when Agent Hand was defending it from the HYDRA threat within, and was the agent in charge of storming the Bus and neutralizing its passengers after it landed at the Hub. After Agents Triplett and Simmons earned Agent Hand's trust, Jones reported that the Bus was empty of passengers, alerting Hand that Coulson and his team had infiltrated the base.

- Jones was one of three ANSA astronauts that left Earth in August of 1980 to explore the region of space near Alpha Centauri. Exiting a time-distortion field, the ship returned to Earth in the year 3085 after Jonesy activated the Automatic Homing Device. The ship crashed in a woodland region known as Chalo, thirty miles south of Central City in the Western United States. Jonesy was killed instantly. The first to discover his body was an old man named Farrow. Unable to help Jones, he instead pulled the astronaut's two colleagues, Alan Virdon and Peter Burke free from the wreckage. Later, a Prefect from Chalo named Veska discovered Jones' body and ordered a gorilla soldier to bury the remains. Jones was survived by a wife and child (several centuries removed).

- Foreman Jones is a character featured in RAGE. He is a resident of Subway Town and apparently is a head of the Jones Construction Co. He is heading up the Subway Town expansion project and requires Nicholas Raine to clear out Blue Line Station during the quest "Foreman Jones" because the mutants are most likely to cause the expansion project shutdown unless someone stops them. He will thank and reward Raine with some cash and tell Mayor Redstone that the mission is accomplished after the station is secured.
- During the quest Deadliest Catch, he requested the aid of a passing adventurer, stating that he had a plan to catch the Thalassus, but he couldn't do it by himself. He asked them to find somebody to create a giant harpoon from his plans, obtain a sea chart from the Master fisher, and recruit his cousin Julian to row the boat. Once these were obtained, the three of them set off north in his boat.
