Arte Souls (秘奥精霊輝 Hiou Seireiki?) are special items in Tales of Link. Equipping one to the appropriate character allows that character to replace their OLA, the attack they use when all nine current heroes are linked, with the mystic arte. Arte Souls are considered to be armor but occupy their own special slot when equipped. Arte Souls are most often gained from a special event called a "Soul Arena", where players can choose a character whose mystic arte they desire. Defeating certain enemies gives mana, which goes toward two sets of awards: one set of awards is based simply on total mana accrued, while the other is the total mana accrued when ranked against to all other participants in that Soul Arena. Base arte souls are obtained at certain levels of mana, while evolution items require r
