Zesshō is Chinese for "ultimate skill", similar to the Japanese "esoterica/secret skill" (奥義 ōgi). It is not considered as part of the spell name, as such prefix is used in certain spells of Rio. Hō (炮, with fire as radical) is an alternative word for Cannon (砲 hō), although rarely used in Japanese. As seen in the spell, such a close attack may also be referring to its other meaning of scorching or frying.
