- Alternative rock is the most awesome genre anyone has ever made up, and has been existant since a long time ago. It is was brought up as popular when the band Flo Rida was alternative rock, and they made it popular by the use of rap. Pretty weird, eh? It blends alternative (which means, ehm....I'll have to get back to you on that) and rock music.

- A term used when looking at a stone and talking about a different stone... Ow, okay, just kidding. Rock that is alternative. Weird. Different, somehow. Only way you can describe it, really. Also known as "indie" in the UK (in the US, it describes a different subgenre of alternative rock, the one that bands like Pavement, The Decemberists and Death Cab for Cutie play.
