The License Board is a skill system and/or "game rule" in Random Kingdom VX2. Every skill and equipment type in the game is categorized into one of the fields of the license board. By completing Missions for the Kritarchy, the player will gain higher licenses. Licenses can also be purchased (for usually exorbitant amounts of money). The player must unlock the license associated with any skill or equipment or will otherwise face penalty in battle when using them. These penalties are dispensed by Judges, NPCs that oversee the adherence to the rules of engagement, and can range, proportional to the transgression, from mild discomforts, such as Yellow Card, which deals various debuffs, to Red Card, instant teleportation and incarceration in Mordion Gaol, the dungeon of the kritarchy, from wher

- The License Board is not a standard square, and appears different depending on the version of the game. In the original version of the game the License Board is identical for all six characters, while in the International Zodiac Job System version there are multiple boards relating to specific jobs. Unlocking all licenses, including three Quickenings, requires 13,330 LP. This does not include the Esper licenses, which together cost 805 LP. Upon completing every character's License Board, including the Espers and Quickenings, the player earns Rasler's icon in the Sky Pirate's Den.
