Word is being carried throughout Fastheld that Kess Kahar, a well-known Priest of the Light, was found near death this morning by his wife, Lady Reina Seamel, who is herself a devout follower of the Light, as well one of the many Sunkissed that have been Blessed since the hole appeared in the wall. It is said that the Kahar was found on the outskirts of Silkfield, unconscious and having suffered from several burns, supposedly from lightning, though there was no storm in sight. Other reports are saying that he was repeatedly burned, and by the looks of the marking, torture seems to have been highly likely.

If it had not been for the Lady Seamel, her husband would most likely have died of his wounds, but due to her skill and power, he has been brought back enough so he may heal. This attack is most certainly the work of the Shadow, though no one can pinpoint who is responsible, or why this attack was provoked. Lady Seamel is cautioning all who she comes in contact with to be wary of those of the Shadow, and encourages everyone to take the Emperor's curfew far more seriously, to avoid any further attacks.
