The Relief of Maidenpool was the final stage of the short-lived War of the Lords Scorned that occurred in 333 AC. Having defeated the rebel forces at the God's Eye, King Aegon VI sent a detachment of men to relieve the port town. Arriving at the castle, they found it well defended, but the rebels were unwilling to put up a fight. Knowing their war was already lost, they surrendered the town to the royal forces, and accepted their punishment.

  • The Relief of Maidenpool was the final stage of the short-lived War of the Lords Scorned that occurred in 333 AC. The relief of Maidenpool brought an end to the war, some seven months after it had began. Lord Mooton was freed from captivity, and rewarded by the King with a marriage of his daughter Morganna to the King's own son, Maekar, who was in turn granted the castle of Harrenhal at the turn of the year.
