Greek history is older than the history of the other Roman Provinces. It is one of the few which had a culture the Romans considered civilized before the creation of Rome itself. Greece was more prone to a democratic form of government and chose to have its Governor also be the leader of their legislative body. Though it was called the Senate of Greccia it functioned as the whole of the Government and the leader of the Senate was also the Governor for that year. This frequent change makes it impossible to place the entire list of Governors on this one page.
