The Buffy the Vampire Slayer Collectible Card Game is a collectible trading card game based on the television series Buffy the Vampire Slayer. It was initially released in 2001 by Score Entertainment. As of January 2004, Score Entertainment no longer holds the rights to this intellectual property and hence no further production runs or expansions for the game are planned. The Buffy Trading Card was designed to transport two players into the world of Sunnydale, and included nine different types of cards; Characters, Character Essences, Items, Skills, Events, Episodes, Actions, Challenges, and Locations. The objective of the game was to score 10 destiny points, through the completion of a variety of challenges or by defeating your opponent in fights, and thus win the game. Almost every Character card in the game included the four core stats used in game play. (The one exception was a Ghost Willow card, which had no butt kicking attribute.) Top to bottom, and by color, these stats were: Butt Kicking - Yellow Shield Charm - Blue Flame Smarts - Blue Book Weirdness - Red Symbol Many of the character cards also included other traits. The traits that could be found on the Score produced cards were as follows; Human, Vampire, Demon, Computer, Demonology, Spellcraft, Science, Occult, Werewolf, Rat, Initiative, Wuss, Monster, Supernatural Assassin, Undead, German.
