- Urban Rivals usually has a background on there website. It changes depending on what's happening in Clint City. Urban Rivals has also released backgrounds in an advent calendar.
- Background is an Occupation normally listed under Art Department. If the credits directly indicate it, then it might also be listed under Other Crew, Sound Department or Special Effects.

Players may choose a background for new character or keep it without a background. Backgrounds have a small mechanical effect, allowing character's past to influence their skills, in a small way.
