- Magic Evasion, or M.EVA, is the defensive stat used to determine the odds of evading a skill. It is a common misconception that this stat works only against magic skills, but it works against any skill, physical, magical, or even most non-damaging skills. Your current magic evasion can be checked by going into the status window (Ctrl + A). Your base magic evasion can be increased by spending points in the Agility stat. Certain onyxes can increase magic evasion. The only means of getting base magic evasion on armor is with upgraded Dancer's Costume. Musical Instruments, Abacuses, and Gold statted shoes can also increase magic evasion. The higher your magic evasion, the more likely you will dodge a skill.

Certain skills, such as Demonslayer Arrow, have a high chance of hitting regardless of magic evasion or Magic Accuracy stats. Other skills such as Purify cannot be dodged at all. Skills are also less likely to hit if the target is much higher leveled. Magic Evasion is capped at 50 from Agility. To get more, it must be from gear or buffs.
