Zidantas was the deceased father of Pitkhanas. Like many deceased ancestors and deities, Zidantas often spoke to the people of Kussara. When the crew of the William Howells first made contact with the Kussarans, the fact that a woman approached first angered Pitkhanas, who ordered the woman seized. When the woman instead pushed a button and flew into the air, Zidantas screamed at Pitkhanas not to attack the foreigners any more or they would destroy Kussara.
