| - Visions Of The Things To Be is a crossover between Star Trek : Deep Space Nine and AfterM*A*S*H*, a short-lived spinoff to the acclaimed wartime comedy/drama, M*A*S*H. It is written by Rob Morris and is the third book in the M*A*S*H* based crossover series, The Never-Ending Battle, in which Star Trek and its history play a central role.. In 1956, in the small chapel on the grounds of General Pershing Veterans' Hospital, Chaplain Father John Francis Patrick Mulcahy receives a startling confession from Max Klinger's Korean war bride, Soon-Lee Han Klinger. It seems she is not Soon-Lee at all, but rather her distant descendant, Keiko Ishikawa O'Brien, time-switched by The Prophets for reasons unknown. Mulcahy at first struggles with the sanctity of the confessional, believing Soon-Lee has gone insane, despite some clues that she is telling the truth, like her improved diction and more forward demeanor. While he decides whether or not to tell Admin Sherman Potter or Max Klinger, Mulcahy is whisked away to face odd beings who look just like his 4077th MASH cohorts, but speak in an odd monotone. Thus begins an adventure spanning the histories of both shows, and revealing the ties between two often desperate frontline units, and a war that eclipses all they've ever known.
