Veil of Infinite Starlight was born into a family of Warrior-Servants on the world of Val'Kor'Dune in the Orion Complex, a world known for its great military academies and its high population of Warrior-Servants. Veil was the oldest of 17 siblings and they all, along with their parents participated in the Human-Forerunner War where his parents died during the Siege of Charum Hakkor. When the Warrior-Servant rate was dissolved in the years after the war left Veil his siblings for the Juridicals while they joined Builder Security. As a Juridical was Veil eventually given the rank of Juridical Inquisitor that granted him power and command over Juridical Judge Troops, the armed forces of the Juridical rate. Veil was one of the survivors of the firing of the Halo Array but didn't leave the galaxy with the other Forerunners. He decided instead to stay on Earth where he would make sure the Librarian's plans for the humans was carried out while not directly interfering.
