  • Items in Samurai Warriors 4 are divided into two types: consumables and heirlooms. Consumables primarily consist of items that sustain the player's longevity or enhance their performance. They can only be used once per battle. Heirlooms (家宝, kahou) are special tools with unique properties associated with a particular character or DLC set. These items have cooldown timers before they can be reused. Players initially have a slim probability of acquiring them by defeating a character under certain conditions. Meeting those requirements repeatedly helps raise the success rate needed to obtain an heirloom by 7%. The player can assign whichever item type they have acquired into individual slots.
