Prince Richard, Lord Berkshire (Richard Geoffrey Cates, born May 12, 1966) is the father of King Matthew I. He was married to Princess Jacqueline for twenty-one years before leaving her for another woman. After a few years of dating different women, he met Michelle Perry and married her. When his son became King of the United States, he was made a prince solely because he was the King's father, but as the royal lineage was through Princess Jacqueline, he was not allowed a title higher than a lordship. Therefore, he was given the title Lord Berkshire.
