| - by ROS*E Prologue As the darkness fell, a lone cat padded from the marshy reeds. "Rachel? Marqi? Taljo? Pina? Mantius?" it called out. She was a red pink cat with blue eyes and a fluffy tail. "Guys? Where are you?" "Rosekit," Mantius called softly, "take heed of this view. This is you in seven moons- one more as a kit, two as an apprentice, three as a warrior, and one at the head of WhisperClan." Rosekit gasped. "I'm to lead my Clan in seven moons- gonna be that good an apprentice- gonna be a good warrior and deputy- and then a leader? But why am I here like mist- there but faint?"

"Guys? Where are you?" "Here-here," whispered the distinct, young voice of Pina. "Come here-here." So the cat followed the whispering voice, struggling not to lose the gentle here-here. When she came across the clearing, the voice whispered, "Here-here" again, but it was fainter. She spun around and saw the autumnleaf color of Pina and her multicolored companions, but one cat she did not recognize. It was a cat that looked like her. "Rosekit," Mantius called softly, "take heed of this view. But why am I here like mist- there but faint?" "In that last moon, you will lose one life," explained Marqi. The six began to fade, and Rosekit was left alone once more.
